记者从宁波市政府获悉，杭州湾跨海大桥定于２００８年５月１日２３时５８分试运营通车。
杭州湾跨海大桥北起嘉兴市海盐，跨越杭州湾海域，止于宁波市慈溪，全长３６公里，是目前世界上已建成和在建中的最长跨海大桥。大桥通车仪式将于５月１日下午在大桥海中平台附近举行。
