薇阁成为台湾汽车旅馆的代表

1925年发源自美国、原本平凡无奇的motel(汽车旅馆)，在台湾商人的创意下，摇身一变成为令人惊艳的六星级、七星级汽车旅馆，且数量仍在持续增长中。

根据“汽车旅馆地图线上”网站指出，全台湾目前预估有超过800家的汽车旅馆，以每家旅馆30个房间、每房每天4次周转率、每次休息台币1000元估算，产值每年就有350亿元。

这其中，薇阁精品旅馆成为台湾汽车旅馆风潮的带领者，薇阁董事长许调谋因此有了“汽车旅馆教父”的称号。他嫌恶浴帽，于是薇阁为女人准备了发夹，让女人美美地挽起头发，冲洗一身香汗淋漓；他顾虑客人的隐私，于是薇阁的“送餐台”可从车库直接送餐；他贴心地注意到，因肥皂香味会造成客人“困扰”，所以薇阁自行研发了“无味皂”；为了照顾偷吃的朋友，甚至有按一个键就可出现捷运站、开会声音等“背景音乐”的贴心设施。

除了贴心的服务，台湾的汽车旅馆更是在房间的设计上花尽了心思，如“异想乐园”房间内有二具真正的电动旋转木马、“白色森林”以北京鸟巢为设计概念、“美国舞娘”就连钢管都有。另外，台湾的汽车旅馆内甚至还配有八爪椅、毒龙钻等情趣设备，增加情侣间不同的情趣。

薇阁董事长说，女人戴浴帽的时候是最丑的时候，所以薇阁不提供浴帽，而提供的是专用发夹。
