在周润发红透半边天的时候，刘德华还是个跑龙套的，接到通知可以在由周润发主演的《鳄鱼潭》里演一个杀手的时候，心情并没有什么起伏，这样的一个小角色已经演过太多。

一场打斗拍完，他独自坐在角落休息，周润发竟然主动走过来跟他聊天，称赞他身手不错，还鼓励他好好干。
