近四年没有推出全新国语专辑的张学友，二十六日将推出全新国语专辑《在你身边》，最近忙着筹备世界巡回演唱会，张学友仍在今天来到台北参加《在你身边》全亚洲发片记者会。
在主持人陶晶莹的穿针引线下，张学友除了透露首度担任专辑制作人的甘苦外，现场更连线人在北京的老搭档制作人欧丁玉，并为《在你身边》专辑打分数。身兼监制、制作总监、制作人的张学友，自嘲二零零六年被欧丁玉“拋弃”，一肩扛起制作人重任，在发片记者会上首度听到欧丁玉的背书称赞，松了口气露出开心的笑容。日前传出《张学友左手旧疾復发，状况严重》的报导，新闻不但延烧至大陆、香港，环球唱片也不停接到歌迷关切电话，接到手软，这次为了证明张学友的左手仍是“一尾活龙”，现场特地播放VCR，画面剪辑张学友拍摄MV时背女主角、抓枫叶等使用左手的画面，这段“左手哥精华版”也逗得全场哈哈大笑。
首度担任制作人，张学友在《在你身边》专辑尝试多元曲风及不同唱腔，他表示：“新专辑有一种更自己的感觉，咬字唱腔会有一点点的不同，对我来说是种改变，也希望歌迷能喜欢。”首波主打《好久不见》勾起许多人对友情、爱情的回忆，第二波主打《在你身边》在张学友的诠释下则充满亲情的暖意，张学友表示当时听到词曲就认定“这是送给小女儿的歌”。早先“歌神截肢事件”被传得满城风雨，张学友表示，确实有这么回事，不过左手有点肌肉痿缩，并没有到截肢那么严重，近期的康复治疗也非常有效。
