作为一个热爱电影的人，我很早就对李小龙这个名字耳熟能详，但惭愧的是，一直都不太清楚这个人的来龙去脉，总觉得一位已经去世三十年的明星，其星光可能只存在于上一代人的记忆里，在我们这一代，亮极有限。这些年走了一些地方，发现李小龙的地位和影响力远远超出我的想象，几乎是有电影的地方就有他的名字，知道中国电影的人就知道他。后来终于买到了他的几部代表作和传记片，一看之下，瞠目结舌。原来他不仅仅是仪表堂堂渊停岳峙，动起来更似奔雷闪电，远不是如今众多功夫明星的花拳绣腿可以比拟；原来他不仅仅是一位功夫片明星，还是一代武学宗师，一生致力于传播和提升中国武术；原来他不仅会演戏，还对电影有着自己的深刻见解和切实投入，后期作品可以真正称为“李小龙作品”；原来他不仅懂电影懂功夫，还懂哲学，会作诗，擅长美术……

十三岁时，李小龙拜了第一位真正的师傅：咏春大师叶问。叶问对咏春的内涵颇有见地：“咏春强调的是柔和快，而不是力量……”在叶问的调教下，李小龙系统地学习了咏春拳，在家中设一座木桩，每天对着木桩勤练不辍。此外，他还练过洪拳、白鹤拳、谭腿、少林拳等拳种，还研究西洋拳的拳法，一边参加西洋拳训练班，一边节省零用钱购买世界拳王路易士的拳击赛纪录片，从中学习拳王的步法、身法、拳法和训练方法。

李小龙热爱哲学，善于思考，哲学思想渗透在他一生的事业和生活中，在他的许多言谈中都有体现：
——清空你的杯子，方能再行注满。
——以无法为有法，以无限为有限。
——如果知识随着传统模式走，你就只能生存在传统的阴影下，了解的只是老路子，你并不了解你自己。
——对某件事视作毫无价值，也是勇敢的表现；对某件事视为绝对成功或视为当然时，这同样是勇敢的表现；但是如果对某件事束手无策的话，那么便是畏缩了。对敌亦是一样，只要用信心去鼓舞自己，纵使失败，精神上仍是胜利的。
——别人告诉我说一个天才可以创造自己的机会，事实上，一个人的深切期望不但可以创造自己的机会，甚至可以创造自己的天才。
——光是知道是不够的，必须加以运用；光是希望是不够的，非去做不可。
——我绝不会说我是天下第一，可是我也绝不会承认我是第二。

李小龙也写过很多诗。以下这首叫做《我是谁》，他赠给了好友李俊九（韩裔美籍武术家，“美国跆拳道之父”）。可惜找不到英文原文，不能尽窥原貌，从外语翻译过来的诗毕竟是挺别扭的。
段一：
我是谁？
这是一个老问题。
每个人都会这样问自己，
反反复复，在此时或彼刻。
尽管他向镜中端详，
可以认出自己的面庞。
尽管他知道自己的姓名，
自己的年龄与生平。
但他仍深深地渴望了解，
我是谁？
我是人群中的巨人，
俯视苍生的豪杰，
还是封闭自感的庸碌之辈？
我是功成名就，信心实足的绅士，
一呼百应的天生领袖，
还是在陌生人前小心翼翼，
动辄心惊的弱者？
在强装的笑颜后面，
是一颗瑟瑟发抖的心，
如同在漆黑森林里迷路的小小少年。
段二：
我们中很多人渴望成功，
但惧怕失败。
尽管我们有能力，
将理想变成现实。
只有培养自然直觉的人，
才能建立自己的观点，
卓有成效、令人钦敬，异彩纷呈。

奋进，在这一过程中，

如同透过镜中反观自己。
大学期间，李小龙始终坚持练功不辍，力求经过精益求精的潜修苦练，使功夫逐渐娴熟乃至达到更高的境界。除了精通各种拳术外，他还擅长长棍、短棍和双截棍等各种器械，并研习气功和硬功。在这个过程中，他从实战出发，以中国武术为基础，吸收西洋拳、空手道、跆拳道、泰国拳等技击术的优点和特长，总结多年的经验自创了一种拳术，其中的“李三脚”、“寸拳”和“勾漏手”等都是他的绝招。

1962年4月，二十一岁的李小龙在西雅图唐人街开设“振藩国术馆”，传授中国功夫。起先问津者寥寥，后来他带着几个学武的学生，不断去西雅图的几所大学做示范表演，情况终于好转。有一次，李小龙在短短的11秒内就击败一名出言相讥的**空手道黑带三段武师，声名鹊起；另一次在佛罗里达州唐人街赤手空拳制服4个持刀歹徒，勇救华人少女，消息刊上报纸，影响非常广泛，慕名投到门下的学生越来越多
