Nevertheless, Mamdani differs fundamentally from Trump. Besides their disparity in political spectrum - one on extreme left and the other extreme right, Mamdani poses far less menace to New York than Trump does to America and the world. At most, Mamdani might inflict economical damages to New York, resulting in some sort of financial impasse. His policies are reversible, and hence the potential damages are curable and reparable.
