德国总理梅克尔18日中午在柏林迎接来访的乌克兰总统泽伦斯基时，出现疑似身体不适的症状。她在大太阳下与泽伦斯基一同站著聆听军乐队演奏两国国歌，当时气温摄氏30度，突然，64岁梅克尔的身体明显颤抖、晃动不止。
梅克尔与泽伦斯基会谈结束后开联合记者会，被问到身体是否无恙，梅克尔说她脱水，「我至少喝了三杯水，所以现在没事」。
这时，喜剧演员出身的泽伦斯基开玩笑说，必要时他会出手相救，「她就站在我旁边，绝对安全」。
