据美国《时代》杂志6月2日报道，巴西人爱狗已经到了着魔的地步，他们为狗组织时装秀，建造“情侣狗汽车旅馆”，现在又为1600多条狗修建了“狗城”

大约1600多个狗居民居住在大约12000多平方米的土地上，这块土地是当地政府捐赠的。
