据香港《文汇报》报道，农历新年临近，美国拉斯维加斯赌城大道高挂“恭喜发财”中文巨幅布幔，赌场内迎接中国新年的布置富丽堂皇，赌城成为美国境内最热烈欢庆中国新年的地区。 报道援引美国世界新闻网消息指出，赌城大道上的各赌场分别为赌客举行盛大新年庆祝晚会。业者透露，每家赌场都招待约2000名来自台海两岸、东南亚以及美国本土的华裔赌客过新年。
继多年前的台湾豪客后，现在中国大陆豪客是拉斯维加斯赌场春节期间最重要的收益来源，赌场接待2000名豪客的手笔惊人，其中约100名豪客是“百万巨鲸”，赌场派专机接来拉斯维加斯过年，用加长形礼车接送，他们的亲友吃住全免费，参加庆祝晚会抽奖奖品是宾利、劳斯莱斯奔驰和保时捷新车，其余1900名豪客，都是万元以上客人，现金奖500至5000美元，未抽中现金者人人有红包。
中国豪客是各家赌场的争取对象，他们来赌城过年，同时会接到四家大赌场邀请，赌场特意安排不同的日子举办庆祝晚宴，让中国赌客不致撞期。晚会中年菜精致可口，还请来中国大陆、港、台艺人为华裔豪客表演。
