北京长安街沿线东起通州运河广场，西至首钢东门，全长约46公里，因此又被称为“百里长街”。长安街两侧分布着许多国家行政机关，许多改变历史的事件在这条街上发生。在这里，毛主席庄严地向世界宣告新中国的成立；在这里，英勇的人民解放军迈着雄健的步伐接受人民的检验；在这里，人们怀着沉痛的心情送别敬爱的周总理；在这里，改革开放的政策传遍全国。时光荏苒，岁月流逝，长安街见证着共和国的成长足迹。翻看长安街往昔的照片对比今天的辉煌成就，我们可以慢慢品味共和国一路走来的历史和日渐开放的胸怀。
