12月28日，蠓虫在非洲马拉维湖面上聚集飞舞好像黑色的云雾。



在每年的12月至第二年的1月的雨季前期（当地的雨季为12月至第二年的3月），大量的蠓虫聚集到马拉维湖上空进行交配，如云雾在湖面上随风飘荡，形成马拉维湖“虫子云”奇观。马拉维湖是非洲第三大淡水湖。
