美国权威杂志《综艺周刊》日前选出2007年度十大注目演员，《色，戒》的新人女主角汤唯有份入围，她饰演的王佳芝是《色》片的灵魂人物，并要分身饰演引诱易先生(梁朝伟饰)的麦太太，难度甚高。
日前，正在英国参加伦敦电影节的汤唯透露，最初面试时状态欠佳，但由于她全情投入，加上导演李安看出她脆弱的一面，才在1000名候选者中脱颖而出。对于被议论得最多的床戏，汤唯表示自己什么都没有想过，她认为《色戒》突破尺度是华语片的一个进步，是用肢体语言来突出电影艺术，这样观众才能更明晰。
她还表示：“李安导演的要求实在是很高，在他的挖掘与压力下，我们每个人都在成长。”她同时表示，目前还没有接拍新片，还在等下一个角色，希望是像《色戒》一样富有挑战性的角色。

此次入围十大注目演员的还有西部片《决斗犹马镇》的本-福斯特，他在影片中饰演反派罗素-克洛的手下，奸得令人心寒；之前，他还参演过《X战警3》，饰演一名长有翅膀的战警。此外，入围的还有主演传记电影《Control》的男主角山姆-雷利、本-阿弗列克导演处女作《失踪人口》的女星艾米-瑞恩、与布拉德-皮特同台演出《刺杀神枪手》的保罗-施奈德等。
